D3. Communication: USAL TV
The University of Salamanca has created an institutional educational television, USAL TV , which is responsible for the production, storage and internet emission of education and scientific contents in Spanish. Among the permanent programs are “The University of Spanish”, “Canal Américo”, “5 Talents”, “The University Replies”, “True Science”, and “Open lesson”. These are accompanied by news, debates and documentaries, together with live broadcasting of institutional acts, audio-visual material for promoting the University, and the production of educational resources, such as Massive Open On-line Courses (MOOCs). USAL TV received 25,000 consultations or visits per year and maintains co-production agreements that make it an international reference within the context of Spanish language, collaborating with the European Foundation for the Information Society, The Universidad Nacional Autónoma of Mexico (UNAM), the Latin-American Institute of Educational Communication (ILCE) the Latin-American Educational Television Association (ATEI) and the Latin-American Cultural News Channel.
